3 Powerful Ways to Find your Motivation for Healthy Lifestyle Changes!

Most people think that the motivation for making healthy lifestyle changes comes from having a lot of discipline or willpower, or working really hard.

That might be true for some, but…

It’s NOT the system that I teach.

And it’s NOT what’s ever worked for me.

I remember back in my dieting days, how I used to keep a food diary, count every calorie I ate, try to give up certain foods, weigh myself daily (at least!) and spend an hour every day in the gym (or more!)

Nowadays:

– I don’t keep a food diary,

– I don’t count my calories or carbs,

– I eat what I want guilt-free,

– I weigh myself about every 3 months (and only when I’m feeling good ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ)

– And I haven’t had a gym membership since 2012! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

Yet, I’m in the best, healthiest shape of my life.

So how do I find the motivation to make healthy lifestyle changes WITHOUT relying on discipline & willpower – or even going to the gym?

I’ve used these methods myself to lose over 30 pounds of baby weight gain (twice!) and maintain my ideal weight for over a decade.

Plus, I’ve helped thousands of Ladies in their 50s, 60s & 70s do the same and reverse high blood numbers – WITHOUT dieting.

OK here goes:

Here’s my 3 Powerful Ways to Find your Motivation for Healthy Lifestyle Changes!

(1) LEARN TO TRUST AND LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

The word motivation suggests you need to DO something to get healthy.

That you need to overcome your desires to be lazy, overeat, or eat the ‘wrong things’.

But that doesn’t work – not in the long term anyway!

The TRUTH IS:

Your body is made for health, vitality and balance.

Every. Body.

YES: EVEN YOURS. ๐Ÿ’–

So stop trying to find the motivation to change…

And just start listening to your body.

Your body’s voice might be weak after years and years of being ignored, abused and overpowered.

But I promise you it’s there.

And I promise it holds the key to guiding you back to your ideal weight and health. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

START TODAY:

Next time you want to eat something, just take a second to tune in to your body (not the voice in your head or your cravings).

See if you can hear your body tell you what would FEEL good to your body to eat?

Is it something juicy and hydrating like a watermelon? Something warming & comforting like a homemade soup? Or something filling and satisfying like our decadent chocolate superfood smoothie?

You can do this as often as you like.

The more you do it, the better you’ll feel, the more your body will return to its ideal weight and the healthier you’ll get.

(2) EAT FOR NOURISHMENT & SATISFACTION

The worst myth going around in the health and weight loss world is that you need to be perfect to lose weight and get healthy.

They tell you that you need to follow some special diet, quit whole food groups, or count carbs or calories.

THAT does require discipline – and it’s hard and unsustainable.

It’s also not true.

The TRUTH IS:

You don’t need to be perfect to lose weight and get healthy. You just need to eat for Nourishment & Satisfaction.

The good news about this is that you get to ALWAYS feel nourished AND satisfied.

Trying to find ways to enjoy your favorite foods but better for you is FUN & DELICIOUS!

If you love bread, then enjoy bread.

If you love ice cream, then enjoy ice cream.

If you love fried chicken, then enjoy fried chicken.

If you can make EVEN TINY CHANGES in this direction so you can keep them up, then you will get healthier and start losing weight.

(3) SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE ROLE MODELS

There’s a reason why they say you’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with: peer influence is a powerful thing!

The very first seeds of change with my own struggles with dieting & weight loss came from watching my 3 role models and how they ate:

My best friend, my husband and my dog! (seriously, no joke! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ)

So if you’re not seeing the best role models in your immediate environment, then take immediate steps to seek them out.

Go to your local church, community center, or phone an old friend and suggest a walk.
