Start building healthy habits right away by enjoying a Homemade Smoothie every day this week. Take photos of your Smoothie creations so you can post them next week in our Discussion Forum! Also, please complete the Discussion Question below in our Facebook Group:
1. How has the old dieting mindset played out in your life?
Use hashtag #dieting when answering this question in the Facebook Group.
What sorts of diets have you tried? Did you succeed in losing weight (how much)? Did you regain any weight after the diet ended (how much)? What are some words you would use to describe dieting? (easy? hard? depriving? restricted? guilt-inducing? etc)
2. Post 2 truths and a lie in the Facebook Group about your past experiences with dieting! Use hashtag #guess?
Use a, b, c format. Then go onto 2 other Members’ posts and see if you can guess which is the truth and which is the lie: a, b or c?! 🙂
This is the first of a series of Weekly Challenges we will share with you each week for the rest of your program. The Weekly Challenges are designed to help you gradually build up cooking skills & healthy eating habits that you can maintain.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS:
- You can enjoy the smoothie for any meal or dessert, as a snack or anytime you feel hungry.
- The smoothie can we made using any of the Week 1Â recipes or you can invent your own using our guide, but it must be Homemade! Â
- The quickest & easiest way to complete this Weekly Challenge is to prep your smoothies in advance so they are ready to blend. Simply lay 5-10 zip loc bags on your counter and fill with the ingredients for 1 smoothie (minus the liquid & greens).  Place in the freezer and freeze.  When you are ready to enjoy, grab one bag from the freezer, tip the contents into a blender, add milk or juice of your choice plus greens and blend.
