(SUCCESS PLUS ⭐️ RECIPES!) Powerhouse Energy Snacks!

Are you looking for simple and delicious ways to stay on track with health goals, even when you’re on the go? 🤔

When life gets busy the temptation to turn to fast food and other processed items can be overwhelming.

If this is something you get tripped up by, we’ve got you covered with this month’s recipe set:

Powerhouse Energy Snacks! 🎉

These snacks are filled with simple ingredients that will keep you nourished, and they’re great for prepping in bulk so you can grab and go as needed.

Read on below for a few of our favorite ingredients that can help provide long-lasting energy. 💪

✅(1) Whole Grains: Whole grain foods like oats, whole wheat, brown rice, whole rye and barley are a great choice to satisfy your hunger and provide energy that will help your body and brain function optimally. Whole grains provide many vitamins and minerals essential for good health, and many are rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber. As you know by now, fiber is the key when looking to stay satisfied while working towards weight loss goals.

✅(2) Healthy Fats: Your body needs dietary fat, and it is actually an essential compound for the body to lose weight and function properly. Healthy fats help regulate hunger hormones, increase satiety, protect against heart disease, and improve the body’s ability to transport and absorb vitamins and nutrients. Stick to unprocessed whole foods such as olive oil, avocados, nut, seeds, and fatty fish for the greatest amount of health benefits.

✅(3) Protein: Protein is probably the single most important nutrient for sustainable weight loss and true satisfaction. Increasing your intake of lean or plant-based proteins like poultry, seafood, and legumes has been shown to boost metabolism, decrease appetite, and affect various weight-regulating hormones in the body that can reduce cravings and late-night snacking.

Here are a few of this month’s recipe highlights:

Veggie Quinoa Bites

These bites are the perfect blend of protein, carbs, and healthy fats- the best combination for true nourishment and satisfaction! Quinoa will provide a complete protein all on its own, as well as a boat load of nutrients and minerals.

Combined with the chickpeas, the fiber from both items as well as our vegetable mix-ins will smooth digestion and diminish hunger pangs. Along with other vegetables, including a healthy dose of greens in this dish will aid in preventing obesity, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

No-bake Pumpkin Energy Bites

These truffles come together quickly and are great for storing and traveling. Dates are the main source of sweetness and binding, and the fiber they contain will help slow the absorption of sugars into the digestive tract so energy stays level. Oats will help with this, as well as heart and cholesterol health.

Pumpkin is rich in antioxidants, which will work to prevent heart disease as well. Flaxseeds and pecans continue this support by bringing in healthy fats in the form of omega 3’s. They also provide a decent amount of protein, and these two factors are a sure bet when looking to keep hunger to a minimum.

Whole Wheat Chicken Taquitos

These crispy and flavorful wraps are a beautifully balanced snack that’s perfect for on the go days and far healthier than frozen varieties. The first major swap we make is to use whole wheat tortillas that are high in fiber and protein, ensuring that energy stays balanced and steady.

Shredded chicken and black beans will continue to provide more fiber and protein, the crucial components when looking to create a snack that energizes and lasts. Our salsa and chiles boost the flavor, and bring in a host of antioxidants and vitamins that support eyes, skin, brain, and heart health.
