Watch below for this month’s bulk-cooking videos!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

In this curry we use skinless chicken breast to lower the levels of saturated fats and help the body control homocysteine amino acid levels, both of which can lead to cardiovascular disease.

The high amounts of spices used also bring high levels of nutrients. Cumin is particularly useful for anti-inflammatory effects and it’s antioxidant properties. Turmeric will add to this, strengthening digestion, calming skin issues, and preventing cell damage.

Zucchini, Carrot, and Olive Oil Loaf

These loaves are filled with fiber-rich foods that will help with managing weight loss and optimizing digestion. The extra hydration from the zucchini will also help with these goals and keep these loaves tender and moist.

Whole wheat flour will increase the fiber content and in turn, the satisfaction level! It also helps lower the harmful type of cholesterol that leads to cardiovascular disease. Plus, whole wheat flour is beneficial for keeping blood sugars balanced, so helpful in the management of diabetes.

Mediterranean Turkey Meatballs with Olive and Herb Salsa

To make these meatballs extra nourishing, we’ve swapped turkey meat in for beef, and added extra veggies like shallots, garlic, and spinach.Turkey will reduce the saturated fat in this dish, which is the type that causes the most stress on your heart.

The spinach will help the meatballs retain moisture, and add major levels of antioxidants, Vitamins A, C, and K, and of course, Iron! All of these will help support immunity, bone and muscle repair, and blood pressure levels.
