As you know, Asian-style dishes from restaurants are often filled with deep fried items and sugar-filled sauces. So we took a few popular classics, kept the ingredients that nourish, and dropped the ones that don’t. 😉
Check out this month’s videos below.
Vegetable Hand-made Potstickers
To increase the nourishment of our potstickers, we fill these with a multitude of vegetables and mushrooms, greatly increasing antioxidant and vitamin levels, as well as fiber content.
If you’re looking to improve your cholesterol numbers, make sure to add extra cabbage in your feeling, and a heart healthy oil like sunflower seed or coconut. These will both help with lowering LDL and improving the strength of your cardiovascular system.
Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli
In this recipe we decrease the amount of sugars and sodium, so the vitamins and minerals from our main ingredients can shine! Flank steak, is a lean source of protein and Vitamin B12, supporting tissue growth all over.
Agave is the natural sweetener in our sauce, it’s low glycemic index will keep your energy levels stable, and your blood sugar numbers from jumping! The added fiber from the broccoli will further help with stabilizing blood sugars, so even with diabetes you can still enjoy this dish!
Honey Lemon Chicken
Chicken breast is a heart healthy, lean protein that will help your body build and repair muscle tissue. The ginger and garlic in this marinade add age-defying antioxidants, and they can also help with congestion and stomach troubles.
Bell Peppers will add antioxidants, protecting your cells from damage. To finish off this dish, the bright lemon juice in our sauce balances out the honey, and brings in extra Vitamin C, making this a great choice if you get frequent colds or suffer from arthritis.
