(SUCCESS VIDEO): Getting started with exercise at any fitness level! (Expert Interview with Celebrity Fitness Trainer Erika Shannon)

In today’s expert interview, I’m featuring Celebrity Fitness Trainer Erika Shannon.

I’m going to tell you about Erika in just a second…

But first a bit of back story:

Something you might not know about me is that I used to be an athlete myself.

I competed in Australian National Precision Ice Skating Championships as a teenage for 3 years, I trained in a Brazilian Martial Art with a world class instructor in Vancouver, touring North America and Brazil for events, and I’m an avid surfer who’s braved the swells in about a dozen countries around the world…๐Ÿ„โ€โ™€๏ธ

The truth is, I was never very good at any of those spots…๐Ÿ˜‚ but what I lacked in natural skills, I made up with enthusiasm and dedication, often training 3-4 hours per day, 6-7 days per week.

Yet despite how hard I worked out – I never hit my weight loss goals or healed my relationship with food UNTIL I fixed the eating and mindset piece that we focus on with the #3 Pillars (Cook, Eat, Listen).

So I want to bring you this interview today with a piece of advice from my heart: ๐Ÿ’–

The good news is you DON’T need to kill yourself with working out or spend hours at the gym in order to get to your ideal weight and get healthy.

If you want to lose weight and improve your health then START with your EATING and MINDSET (relationship with food)…

AND ONLY THEN ONCE YOU’VE MADE PROGRESS WITH THOSE,

THEN YOU WLL NATURALLY FIND YOU HAVE MORE ENERGY AND MOBILITY…

And you will actually WANT to move your body more!

Because moving is part of the natural state of wellness of the human body. ๐Ÿ™Œ

So THAT is the perfect time to add on some exercise or movement without injuring yourself, getting sick or feeling miserable!

And when you do that, the benefits of incorporating exercise are tremendous including benefits to your cardiovascular system, blood sugar regulation, high blood pressure reduction, better mobility, less joint pain, better moods (due to the release of feel good hormones like serotonin) and of course, body confidence!

Hope this rings true for you? Let me know!

And if you’re at that stage of looking for movement options and advice on getting started, then this interview is perfect for YOU!

(If not, that’s ok, I hope you can enjoy it anyway :))
